Even when Nikola was at his misguided worst, at the very peak of his bitterness, he never stooped to such diabolical means. Low for him was tampering with the genetics of a few drug addicted rich kids tossed into rehab by their parents. (Not the best choice he ever made, but that hadn't ended too badly, all things considered...) Being a Ripper put you in an entirely different category of person; a person who was on the very verge of not being a person anymore.
If he'd had it his way, they would've taken care of Johnny a long time ago like they thought they had Adam. Damn Helen's sentimental attachment to him.
