[party post] come sail away with me

You've come through a door, and you are on a boat. Specifically, you're on a cruise ship in the middle of some giant body of water. You've come through the door behind you which is attached to nothing and may now be locked. It's relatively empty as giant as it appears to be. The only other passengers that are here appear to also have come through the door for the most part and it is not nearly enough to fill up this entire cruise ship.
Also, who knows who the hell is driving this thing since all of the employees appear to be either ghosts or holograms...
Is this your first time here or your hundredth time here? Do you want a drink or a dip in the pool? Is it day or night? Do you stumble on your room or some other situation either fun or painful within its many rooms, shops, and facilities? Do you run into someone you know or a complete stranger?
The possibilities are unlimited!
that is a good way to be ngl ;_;
"Hey, it is actually you... or a dream version of you. Didn't expect to see anyone I knew on the creepy boat to nowhere, but it's really good to see you. You okay?"
no subject
She hugs Bonnie on instinct, pulling her tighter against her, unable to tell if she's real or not. There's a part of her brain that's still telling her it can't be, but she's seen stranger things happen. "What?" she blinks, startled out of her thoughts by the question and a wide smile crosses her face. "Yeah. I'm great. I'm awesome."
Officially the best birthday present ever.
no subject
"Really? We've been kidnapped by some weird cruise ship, and you're awesome?" She smiles though, because she really is starting to think this is a dream. "You look seriously hot by the way."
She's just now noticing the outfit, and she approves.
no subject
"Thank you. We were going to go out for my birthday, but ... obviously the night has been hijacked." Which, whatever. "All I need is booze and cute boys and the night can totally proceed as planned."
Because Caroline is nothing if not (somewhat) easy to please. Also, those not-quite-lies were a little too easy, but telling her best friend she's currently dead is not on the agenda for the evening, no matter how good the death was. They can talk timeline shenanigans when they're not celebrating the awesome that is Caroline.
no subject
"Wait, it's your birthday? Happy Birthday! Wow." This is one weird dream, but she laughs anyway ignoring the weirdness (it's a dream after all), linking her arm with Caroline's, and tugging her deeper into the ship. "C'mon, it's a cruise ship. Booze is sort of a staple. The cute boys might take more work, but we'll see what we can find."
They can celebrate this birthday together in the dream, and it turns out there is a place just for that. It is called The Birthday Place. It's one of the stores in a floor of the cruise ship, and the narration is creating this as she goes so it'll be fun.
no subject
Well, no one ever said Caroline's brain made sense.
She follows Bonnie around until they manage to find the Birthday Place, and Caroline stares up at the sign for a moment. "That's ... convenient." She pauses before she lets herself be pulled inside. "Do places like this show up often?"
no subject
Inside of the birthday place, there is a seemingly empty room with white walls and a dull carpet, which doesn't look all that celebrator-y which is why Bonnie is making a frown-y face until she notices the panel on the side. "Look at that."
It is a panel in wood with several buttons.
1) Children's Birthday
2) Drunk Birthday
3) Sexy Birthday
4) Themed Birthday
5) Pool Party
6) Dance Party
Bonnie shrugs a bit and then presses down on the Drunk Birthday button. It's a dream. The worst that will happen is she wakes up abruptly, right? And then the lights go out. There's a whirring noise, sounds like construction work
And then the lights go on again immediately. The room now looks like a bar. There's a jukebox, a pool table, darts board, low lighting, and of course, there's alcohol (a lot of alcohol) lined up behind the bar to be chosen from. "...wow."
no subject
"Tell me about it," she says with a nod, before starting to shed her jacket and make her way inside. "I wonder if the jukebox works."
no subject
The jukebox does in fact work very well, and there are coins stacked on the tables near it. It has the birthday girl's favorite music in it as well as one entire page of different variations on the song "Happy Birthday".
"I'll fix us some drinks, and then after we're drunk enough we can try more buttons," Bonnie says with a tiny smirk. "It's too bad Elena isn't here... even if this is a dream." The three of them should get to celebrate the day, celebrate Caroline together.
no subject
Just like it didn't feel the same without Bonnie. The three of them, together again? It would have been perfect.
She pages through the songs some more, before she settles on an old rock song with a number of high guitar riffs, and she makes her back to the bar, bobbing her head in time to the music. "The jukebox is awesome though."
i hope this is okay :3
Talk about perfect timing. This isn't Elena's first rodeo where ghost cruises are concerned. The first time was alarming, but the next few times ended up being something of a respite, sometimes. It's not so bad if you learn to be patient. Eventually, the door always sends you back. And this time Elena was thrust through the revolving door, she heard two very familiar voices.
She lifts up a champagne bottle she found at the bar in their direction.
Well? She better get hugs now.
IT IS GREAT :D
"Elena!" She grins, glancing over at Caroline and then heading to Elena's side, wrapping her arms around her in a tight hug. "It's Caroline's birthday!"
The three of them should always celebrate birthdays together. Nothing else makes sense.
TOTALLY PERFECT =D
Happy birthday to her.
"And you made it. If you hadn't I would have probably been pissed."
no subject
It isn't that Elena hadn't seen Caroline and Bonnie just a short while ago, but she has found herself in this cruise ship enough times to understand they aren't necessarily the same versions. Their reactions alone confirm it somewhat, and a bittersweet fondness wraps around her as she, in turn, wraps her arms around the both of them to hold them tightly. Regardless of different timelines and universes and years, the fact all three of them love each other does not change.
"And we wouldn't want that, Caroline," Elena says with a wry smile as she pulls back. The boat does seem to be on their side today, as Elena stumbled on a few things that will be important for the celebration. Case in point: she lifts up a bag, before she rummages through it to find the tiara she'd located only moments before, and places it atop Caroline's head.
no subject
"Perfect," she says, reaching up to help make sure none of her hair gets caught in it so she can have her fantastic hair and tiara at the same time. She is still grinning as she settles back on the heels of her shoes, heading over to the bar to line up shots for them because obviously, this means a toast, okay? "We found the 'Birthday Place', Elena. There are buttons, lots of buttons. We pressed the drunk one."
For now at least.
no subject
After drunk birthday, of course.
"Besides, I could use some abs in my life."
no subject
Prepare, ladies.
Elena will be pushing that sexy button now, and a certain familiar song begins to play, as though signaling something very, very sexy is about to happen.
The narration is not sorry.
no subject
She'll just slowly move over toward the other girls with that shot glass in hand still, because suddenly the whole room goes dark, and when it comes back to light, there's that song still playing. Suddenly they're in a strip club.
And... now holograms will start dancing, removing their clothes (some are robots), but all their abs and all their clothing removal looks very, very real and incredibly sexy even if none of them are actually real.
NO REAL DUDES HERE, but they're all pretty damn gorgeous to look at.
no subject
In fact, she looks super pleased with the situation. She may wish they were a little more fleshy, but she can take in the incredibly sexy abs from here just fine. She leans back in her chair with her drink, a wide grin on her face.
"Now we're talking!"
no subject
Elena covers her mouth, barely stifling a laugh as one of the holograms begins to remove his clothes right in front of her, as though he's about to throw his shirt at them. One of them may just look like Ryan Gosling, a little bit.
Maybe watching all that Notebook with Caroline finally paid off.
