sookie stackhouse }

[ sookie's attendance is a bit of a reckless decision on her part, but since when did either of the stackhouse siblings show restraint when it came to playing things cautiously when there was good reason to throw that caution to the wind? this time, it was her pseudo ward of a baby vampire having never been to one of these before and sookie's insistence that they go. they might never get the chance to do so again, and after what they went through down in the depths of the vampire authority, they deserved to have some fun for a change. fun without danger or threats to their lives — though sookie being here in and of itself could be just that, should any vampires decide to take a good whiff of the air and catch the tantalizing scent of faerie in the air.

she knew how irresistible her blood was and how good she smelled to them, but she didn't care. honestly, she was tired of being vampire bait and prize. she almost did away with the parts of her that were fae, but thought better of it before it was too late. this was who she was. she was fae, she could hear thoughts and shoot light from her hands, she could do magic when needed, and pop open portals as easy as a tab on a can of soda. and she was tired of being afraid of that, of letting what she was dictate what her choices were.

fuck whatever was left of bill compton and fuck being fae, she was going to enjoy this goddamn party if it tried to kill her or not. ]

Mind handing me one of those glasses? [ hello stranger, sookie will just be pointing to one of the plastic cups to your left. she's aiming for punch at the moment, but give her a bit and she'll start hitting the booze. ]
