Caroline Forbes is never one to turn down a party. She's especially never one to turn down a Carol Lockwood party in particular, so when she makes her entrance to the masquerade that night, it's like coming home, in a strange sort of way. She pauses taking a moment to scan the room and take stock of things, see who's already there and who she needs to go find later.

When her eyes fall on Tyler, she hesitates for a moment. She, Elena and Bonnie quickly established that timeline shenanigans were afoot, so she's not really sure when Tyler is from, but ignoring him would be rude, and if she's lucky, maybe he's from a point where they're friends.

(She doesn't really consider herself lucky, most days, but she figures there's bound to be a time where it works out for her.
