It sounds like something off an episode of The Twilight Zone, even if most of her life sounds like it should belong on this as well. Vampires, witches, werewolves, curses, and ancient immortals? Sure. But time travel and pocket copies run off an trans-dimensional copy machine... That wasn't supposed to be the reality.

For a moment, Anna looks away, processing the possibilities as she watches Ethan retreat from them. She ought to feel bad that she drove the other man away with her direct addressing of Damon, but mostly she's disappointed the other guy didn't stick around to entertain her with another Damon ass-kicking.
