Hi. [ she hasn't let go of him, no. there's the smallest laugh that bubbles up her throat, a mixture of relief and joy. she doesn't like that logan is trapped here along with the rest of them - not when they don't know what brought them here or what could happen, but selfishly she is so happy to see him.

for herself, of course, but mainly for ethan. she may be pissed as all hell at him but that changes nothing when it comes down to it. ]

[logan hasn't let go of her either, and he has been here for a little while (well, he's come and gone several times or he might have noticed the journal entries that happened, which clearly indicated their presence), but he had no idea that she was here too.

she braces her hands on his shoulders. her heart aches, knowing only bits and pieces of the world ethan ended up in, and knowing even less about connor and adam, but she can give him this, at least. ]

[ which she knows sounds likely comical, considering what she just shared and what ethan was involved in, but it's true. ] You'd be proud of him. [ like she is. that's still true, too. ]

[logan looks at her carefully, and he knows elena well enough to know she wouldn't say something like that unless it was true. it's why his countenance changes, shifts.] You're proud of him. [it's a quiet understanding, something in her eyes.] Wherever he went. [she doesn't have to mention it for logan to understand, it's been a long time. and maybe it's been even longer for ethan than it's been for logan.]

[ she loves the person ethan used to be, but she loves even more the person he is now - she has seen how much pain and enduring it took to become him. it's funny, really; elena is furious with ethan and she has many choice words for him, but if anyone was to try to talk bad about him or give him their own choice words, elena would be unsheathing her metaphorical sword. ]

[logan smiles warmly at her response and how easily she gives so easily despite the fact that he knows she is mad at him.] You two are really good together. I always thought that. [it's said after a moment and then with a soft smile and a laugh, remembering back.] I actually used to have a little crush on you back in the day.

[ the surprise registers plainly on her face. what is with hales and withholding feelings, however little, of the romantic variety. gosh! she laughs warmly, though, since that was forever ago and there is and will forever be ethan. ] I guess there's no harm in admitting I kind of had a tiny crush on you, too.

I did, yeah. When we were playing pool at that party, I remember. [look, it was not a serious crush or he likely would have since he has much more self awareness than ahem ethan, and logan saw very quickly that there was this thing between her and ethan, and it seemed more serious and more serious than either of them realized too. he looks over at her with a tiny smile that widens.] Really? I had no idea at all. Kind of funny how that works out.
