[rp] naked, shirtless, and katniss

When Logan falls through the door of the ship this time, he is wet and naked (though his hair is cut unlike in those gifs). It's been a few months since the last time he was here, and he doesn't appreciate being thrown back in mid-bath that he didn't even want to take in the first place.

...it's a long story. Come say hi to the naked, incredibly muscular man on the deck who is beyond tense. He is truly completely and totally naked. Unf.

James Wilder has been here for days at least. The Hunter's mark has taken over, has taken so much from him over time. He got it ten years ago. The mansion is quiet and empty, but his siblings are there and that's all he can ask for. Maybe the ship finally took pity on him, standing around on its deck, searching for something to hunt or kill only to turn up empty handed every time, because he is now in a gym in the ship. He's been here for hours.

Training with various weapons, crossbows, swords, and the like. He's shirtless and sweaty but focused. Need self defense/hunting classes? Come get trained by a really buff dude... who has a hard time being social or 'normal' or having fun so apologies for that, but he is single and... shirtless. That's a thing that can be appreciated given his... abs.

Finally, there's Katniss Everdeen who went to Chicago and then was sent back into a very au version of her own world where both Peeta and Gale are women and it is totally a thing in that world that gender doesn't matter in romance and that two girls can be chosen for the Hunger Games as well as two boys or a boy and a girl, which is what apparently happened to the Katniss that was there before her. She is currently, standing on the deck of a ship with a bow and arrow pointed outward and a confused expression on her face. She has yet to finish it yet (and has been setting the whole arena on fire due to her Rift change, this is a highly AUed version of her world on every single level really).

Nothing is okay.

She laughs lightly at the girl's point, nodding. "Fair enough. But either way, it seems like you're better off here then wherever you were."

Considering how tense and alarmed Katniss had seemed with her bow and arrow aimed like it had been when she first appeared.

Katniss smiles softly at the sound of Rebekah's laugh, and then she nods, sitting down on one of the... weirdly shaped chairs on the deck. They're low and long, and she doesn't even know (but it'd make her wrinkle her nose if she knew it was for sunbathing of all things).

"I am," she says in agreement, placing her face in her hands briefly before she looks back up at Rebekah. "Are... you? What happened to you?" After the world ended. It's her way of expressing concern

"I ended up back in the time period I came from -- but I wasn't alone, at least."

Returning to the twenties with Stefan had been strange in many ways, but not entirely bad. Nice, even. As if a second chance for the life Niklaus had robbed away from them.

Katniss is quiet after a moment, because she doesn't know much about the different time periods. There was the one she ended up in in Chicago, and then the future that she came from (and a different future she ended up in).

"That's good." That Rebekah wasn't alone. She sinks down into a chair, grateful to be anywhere that isn't where she was before and now she's with a friend. A friend she recognizes and not some strange other version of a friend. "What... time period? I mean, what was it like?"

"The 1920s." Of course, she's met enough people from enough worlds to know that might not have the same meaning to someone else -- or meaning at all to them, so she elaborates.

"It was during the prohibition era. Jazz, flappers, it was a lot of fun." At least for the most part. It was fun for vampires, anyway.

"I... don't know what any of those things are," Katniss admits as a soft smirk tugs at her lips, because that's familiar too (not knowing what something is, never having heard of it before). It reminds her of Chicago. Everything that she didn't know and had to learn about the place, and Chicago has mostly good memories.

There should be a 20s club on the ship for fun! Then she could also see what all those things are. It'd be cute.

Rebekah blinks a little at that, frowning at the thought. It certainly is a sad one. "Jazz is a type of music -- and prohibition was a time when alcohol was outlawed -- which only made it that much more fun to drink. And flappers were the names for women who were rebellious and tried to break away from social norms."

Yes. The ship totally needs a 20s club! Fun for everyone!

Katniss smirks a tiny bit at the description of it all. "So a time when people did what they wanted... even when someone told them to do something else." The whole concept of that is so foreign to the world she came from. People kept their heads down. Did what they were told, tried to survive (but that spark of rebellion she saw--). "Sounds... nice. Kinda dangerous too."

She's always been the type to keep her head down until she was forced into a position where she had to do otherwise. She's no rebel. She's a survivor... whatever that means.

"It was a little bit of both, honestly." Not that the danger extended to an Original such as herself -- but to other people it certainly did. Rebekah's always been a rebel at heart though -- even when she was human she would use weapons behind her father's back, press her luck with what she was allowed to do.

She's always been one to strive for more.

Katniss nods, and she can't hardly imagine it. "Do you... miss it?" She misses Chicago more than she can say. It was a place so unlike the two universes she fell through. It was a place that had so much more freedom that she didn't know what to do with (and it was almost scary sometimes even if she would never admit that

and she prefers that fear to fighting for her life every second, to one wrong move meaning the entirety of the Capitol slammed down on the people she cares about).

"I do." Chicago -- that Chicago -- had become like a home for Rebekah. The first one she had experienced in a very long time. And while she misses her brothers in a way she can't ever really articulate it had been nice living on her own terms.

Getting to really live for once in her life, without worrying about Klaus sliding a dagger into her.

"I do too," Katniss says quietly, and she will like this ship more than she was, but she'll always miss Chicago. It just got torn up from the inside out, and she still doesn't understand how that happens. They had warning, and it still felt like it happened so fast-- too fast.

But she should have known better than to ever expect it to last.

"Understandably. It was a good place." For the most part, anyway. Even when crazy things happened in it -- it still felt like home, the way few places ever had.
