[rp] naked, shirtless, and katniss
When Logan falls through the door of the ship this time, he is wet and naked (though his hair is cut unlike in those gifs). It's been a few months since the last time he was here, and he doesn't appreciate being thrown back in mid-bath that he didn't even want to take in the first place.
...it's a long story. Come say hi to the naked, incredibly muscular man on the deck who is beyond tense. He is truly completely and totally naked. Unf.
James Wilder has been here for days at least. The Hunter's mark has taken over, has taken so much from him over time. He got it ten years ago. The mansion is quiet and empty, but his siblings are there and that's all he can ask for. Maybe the ship finally took pity on him, standing around on its deck, searching for something to hunt or kill only to turn up empty handed every time, because he is now in a gym in the ship. He's been here for hours.
Training with various weapons, crossbows, swords, and the like. He's shirtless and sweaty but focused. Need self defense/hunting classes? Come get trained by a really buff dude... who has a hard time being social or 'normal' or having fun so apologies for that, but he is single and... shirtless. That's a thing that can be appreciated given his... abs.
Finally, there's Katniss Everdeen who went to Chicago and then was sent back into a very au version of her own world where both Peeta and Gale are women and it is totally a thing in that world that gender doesn't matter in romance and that two girls can be chosen for the Hunger Games as well as two boys or a boy and a girl, which is what apparently happened to the Katniss that was there before her. She is currently, standing on the deck of a ship with a bow and arrow pointed outward and a confused expression on her face. She has yet to finish it yet (and has been setting the whole arena on fire due to her Rift change, this is a highly AUed version of her world on every single level really).
Nothing is okay.

Since the last time she was here--her first time overall--she's served another half a year on the Enterprise. She damned near got her barely-reinstated commission yanked again after trying to explain that she'd wound up on a centuries-old cruise ship for a while, but a full examination had cleared her of any mental or emotional defect.
And then, three weeks ago, the ship pulled her through the door again.
This time, with her captain in tow.
Two things, she couldn't help but think:
At least someone on the Enterprise will finally believe her.
At least it was Captain Kirk, who can charm his way into fitting in anywhere, and not, say, Dr. McCoy the notorious grump. Or, God help them all, Mr. Spock.
Captain Kirk stopped hovering after the first few days; after the first week they both sort of mutually agreed to give up and wait for the return home that's beyond their control. If this is what it takes to get that man to dial it back a bit, she's thinking as she makes her way up to the deck for some sun and air, at least there's a silver lining to this nonsense.
There's a bit of commotion in the air; seems someone's just come through the door. She's still distracted, lost in her own thoughts, and she doesn't realize she knows who that is until she's right there in his presence.
His very entirely naked presence.
"--Logan!"
Christine Chapel, you are a grown-ass woman and a registered nurse, you have seen naked men before, do not stare don't you dare stare.
Not even appreciatively.
Stop it.
The color's a bit higher in her face as she forces her focus to bear on his face and... nowhere else. "Well, I-- My goodness, Logan, let's get you a towel or something."
Eyes up, Chapel.
"Or a shower curtain, that might be more effective, considering you're a strapping gentleman and all."
Christine.
no subject
She has this calming presence over him ordinarily, but he didn't exactly expect to be... naked in front of her at the moment, and he was already a bit annoyed with the situation as it was, and--
Logan lifts his eyebrows, turning to her, seeing her reaction to it, to him. He is very, very naked (as if nakedness can be in levels). The water drips from him to the surface of the deck, and if her gaze drifts, he won't point it out... but he will notice. There's a light smirk, and he doesn't really make an effort to cover himself (more because after all the shit he's been through, being naked doesn't seem like much in comparison).
"...a strapping gentleman?"
Yes, that is the thing to question, Logan.
no subject
"...Did you really think I was going to say 'strapping boy' considering how much of you I'm seeing right now?"
...Christine, really.

"Let me guess -- you just got here."
She does seem busy with something else.
no subject
"...Rebekah." Her voice is both strained and relieved at once. "You're real?" They can make her hear her sister screaming. They can do anything, and she knows she needs to get back to Peeta who is probably-- She doesn't know what she's doing right now, but she was supposed to make sure she survived it. That is not where she wanted to end up after the end of that world. "This is... real?"
no subject
But she does try.
"As strange as I know it seems, it is real."

It isn't that he hasn't been in quite a few perilous situations in the past, but that doesn't mean he discredits the validity of this one. Whoever the girl is, she looks like she knows exactly what she'd be doing with that bow and arrow. Rafe knows better than to not treat lightly here, though he doesn't look like someone that wants to harm her. He also knows appearances can be deceiving, and no one should be trusting of anything that comes from landing in a ghost cruise ship randomly at the ends of the earth. Or wherever they are.
"...Hi?" Rafe clears his throat. "I'm not going to hurt you. You probably have a lot of questions."
The way Rafe did, but he's been here long enough that he's navigated through most of them by now and can help.
no subject
As much as she is attracted to and... has feelings for (even if she doesn't acknowledge them, can't acknowledge them, doesn't have time to with the weight of just trying to survive laced into her every muscle), the Gale and Peeta in this other world where they're both women so they're different but also the same in deep down, integral ways like the-- the ones she knew. It doesn't mean she hasn't missed the Gale that she grew up with, that she hunted alongside. His face that she's missed, and it's the face staring right back at her with a gentle expression he'd only ever give to her. She lowers the bow and arrows, swallowing, breathless, as she--
"...Gale?"
Her jaw locks, and she is half convinced this is one more Capitol trick (like with her sister screaming). At least he's not screaming.
no subject
Not Rafe, exactly, but someone that looks enough like him that it could evoke this reaction out of her. Rafe is already wincing internally, because he isn't sure how to explain face shenanigans to someone that might not be as used to Chicago as he is. The apology is in his expression, even before he speaks.
"Uh -- no. I'm -- sorry. My name's Rafe," he says, and he keeps his hands above his head and will do so for as long as that bow and arrow remain directly pointed at him. Once she lowers it, so do his hands, though his stance remains the same. "I don't know who Gale is, but I'm not him."
He already has a feeling that's going to be disappointing, and hopefully nothing else.

That is a very wet and very naked man, with muscles in all of the right places. Mary Jane is a red-blooded woman, and she can't exactly be blamed for noticing. It's all just there, glistening and rippling and -- wow he is a big dude. Mary Jane tilts her head to the side as she studies him, not at all put off by the tenseness he seems to be displaying.
"Wow," she says, without even meaning to really, she would be saying something comical or inappropriate if she were paying attention to her words, but she sort of blurts it out without thinking.
Damn, son.
no subject
Logan turns, tilting his head to the side as he stares down at the tiny woman with red hair (red hair reminds him of-- well).
Despite all of the tension in every muscle, he knows people who end up here don't do it on purpose, and she doesn't really look like she was expecting to see him so he doubts she is behind the ship's... kidnapping abilities. There's a light smirk at her expression and the way she is reacting to him. Logan folds his arms over his... incredibly bare, muscular chest.
"See something you like?" Logan, please. "...Didn't mean to end up here naked." This seems like an obvious statement but one he makes anyway.
no subject
And while she is not lacking in the self defense department, she does appreciate the male of the species when the above descriptors are applied, and if Chicago taught her anything, it's that there is no such thing as too much practice. She had been wandering to the gym to get some running in, but when she sees James hard at work, she decides to take a slight detour and see if maybe she can get in a different kind of exercise.
"Need a partner?"
Or a spot, Lois isn't entirely picky. Watching can be just as fun as participating.
no subject
He already knew someone else was here, because of the super hunter senses that aid him in it, but it still takes him a moment to react in words. It has nothing to do with Lois and everything to do with the invisible mark on his body that is slowly stripping away his humanity, every monster that he kills. Words come slower sometimes. He'd gotten better and then gotten worse and then gotten even worse again. Now he doesn't really know what he is anymore, but there's always this, training. James nods after a moment.
"I usually have one. My brother." Who is in the same boat as James, heading straight toward a cliff. He's holding a sword in his hand at the moment, meeting her gaze. "Do you train? With... weapons."
Not everyone lives the hunter life, but that's the one he gets stuck in his head.
no subject
"Not usually. I know how to shoot and how to use a quarterstaff, but I don't wield a sword or anything like that. I'm good with hand-to-hand."

Because, really.
However, the thing about being Carol Lockwood is that she's always had an appreciation for attractive members of the opposite sex. (See example: Damon Salvatore.) She doesn't take it to Kelly Donovan levels of objectification (yes, she knows about that, her son was involved after all), but she does appreciate the male form. Especially attractive ones.
And if they just happen to show up naked and soaking wet in front of her, well, who is she to question it?
The fact that she happens to know him already is possibly a bonus.
Her hands rake over Logan for a moment, before a small smirk crosses her face. "You certainly know how to make an entrance."
no subject
Somehow he didn't take her for someone who would so shamelessly appreciate a naked man in front of her. Guess that goes to show. Never can judge a book by its cover.
"Carol." He smirks himself, tilting his head to the side with a bit of a nod. "It's one of my talents. Usually not like this."
It's usually with claws and blood and violence, but... details.
no subject
More so than the claws and blood and violence. At least, so she assumes.
"But I should probably find you a towel."

It's annoying.
Still, at least her memories of Chicago seem to be relatively intact. She's wandering the decks, trying to reorient herself and remember where everything is, when she spots a familiar face in the see of ones that aren't. It's one she hasn't seen since before the announcement was made that the world was ending, and honestly, it takes her by surprise - but in a good way.
"Katniss?"
no subject
Katniss breathes in deeply in recognition. It is really good to see familiar places especially on a boat which she's never actually been on one before. She slides her hand behind her neck. Bela helped her when she nearly set the park on fire, and now she's using that fire ability in the arena to try to tear it down from the inside out.
Chicago was a good place, and she misses it. She lets out a breath. "Are... you okay?"
no subject
"Just ... confused. This wasn't what I was expecting when I left Chicago."
no subject
She's not even sure how to even open the conversation.
Well, she knows she needs to try. Because she'd rather not have anyone have an accident here. This kid looks way too tense, which leaves Cassie feeling worried already.
"Hey there," she says calmly, immediately putting her hands up in a defensive gesture. She takes a few steps toward the girl. "Although you might not feel like it, it might be a good idea to put the bow down. It's okay, you're safe here."
She's not entirely sure how true that answer is, but it's something she feels the need to say anyway.
no subject
She swallows, lowering it a bit but her muscles are still tense, still waiting, still ready to attack if necessary, if someone or something comes at her.
"Are you sure?"
no subject
She nods, swallowing thickly. "I reckon so, yeah." she says, trying to smile.
"Now, this is probably gonna sound pretty mad but.. you're not where you're supposed to be. You've travelled between universes. This is... well, it's like an 'inbetween' between universes."
no subject
unsurprisingly, it puts cara at ease - or as much at ease as she can possibly be, given the circumstances and her life in general. just because she might be starting to believe this isn't one of ultra's mind games doesn't mean she lets her guard down or trusts it for a second.
like each and every single person on this ship, she tried everything she could think of to open the red door. barring driving herself crazy with it, she's decided to put her frustration to good use. it's around that time she came across james, studying him long enough to appreciate the way he moves. ] Need a sparring partner?
[ sure, james is possibly the biggest dude she's ever seen, but she thinks she could take him. ]
no subject
he turns toward the sound of her voice, looking at her for a long moment before he nods in answer, taking a step back on the mat to indicate that she should join him on it] I do. It's more... effective to train with someone else.
[and she hasn't even stepped out yet but the way she asks it is so natural that he has to assume she knows what she is doing and has sparred with people before.]
