[party post] come sail away with me

You've come through a door, and you are on a boat. Specifically, you're on a cruise ship in the middle of some giant body of water. You've come through the door behind you which is attached to nothing and may now be locked. It's relatively empty as giant as it appears to be. The only other passengers that are here appear to also have come through the door for the most part and it is not nearly enough to fill up this entire cruise ship.

Also, who knows who the hell is driving this thing since all of the employees appear to be either ghosts or holograms...

Is this your first time here or your hundredth time here? Do you want a drink or a dip in the pool? Is it day or night? Do you stumble on your room or some other situation either fun or painful within its many rooms, shops, and facilities? Do you run into someone you know or a complete stranger?

The possibilities are unlimited!

Rebekah was on a train. Or she had been.

She had been making her way out of the suite she shared with Stefan and then suddenly -- she was on a boat. Like on the deck to be specific. She looks rather out of place in her 1920s flapper outfit but at least after Chicago and the Rifts she's a little old hat at this.

She looks around, trying to get a sense out of the place, or at least the time of it. She keeps bouncing around times with these Rifts and it's getting a little frustrating, to say the least. She's also keeping an eye out for a person -- a particularly muppet faced someone for that matter.

The idea that the Rift might of separated them isn't something she is willing to consider.

Everything looks ancient to a woman from the 24th Century, not just Rebekah's gown. A prom dress from 2014 would appear just as archaic and out of place to her. Kathryn isn't muppet-faced, but she's someone with experience in bouncing around times under her belt. That recent trip to 1996 was still giving her headaches.

Time travel, a starship captain's worst nightmare.

Corners ought to make it onto that list, for the captain nearly collides with Rebekah when she rounds one, eyes glued to the readings on her tricorder instead of where she's going. Even captains make the mistake of not watching the road from time to time.

Rebekah's not really doing well with the paying attention thing either, particularly when she's focusing her senses on trying to find someone instead of what's going on around her. Needless to say, she's a little surprised when she runs into someone -- literally.

She takes a step back to create space before looking up at the other woman.

"My apologies."

She's distracted enough that she doesn't even bother lashing out at Kathryn for the run in.

The tricorder falls from her hands and bounces across the deck, coming to a stop at the base of a potted plant. "No, no, that was my fault," she counters, stepping around Rebekah to retrieve the device. There's more technological advancements in a single circuit than there is on this entire ship. She isn't about to let it out of her sight.

"I haven't yet figured out my way around the place. The unwanted trip didn't exactly come with a map."

"No. They didn't give any of us a map -- I suppose that would be too easy."

But this isn't Rebekah's first strange world hopping adventure -- so it's not as jarring as it could be. Still, she's no more accustomed to getting around the ship than the other woman was, honestly.

"Naturally. Why make any of this easy on us?"

But she doesn't sound too bothered by that. She's a very resourceful woman and she's been through far worse suddenly somewhere else situations before. At least nobody's switching out her crew for an alien population this time. That's a plus.

"What would be the fun in that?"

Rebekah isn't particular bothered either -- but after her time in Chicago and her experience with the rifts she's a little used to it, honestly.

Clementine has been here long enough!!! Except she never wants to go back through the door, because there are Walkers. Walkers are the worst. They're dead people who bite living people and turn them into their meals/more Walkers so she prefers the ship.

Her mouth drops open when she sees Rebekah enter the room.

"...wow, that is pretty."

The flapper outfit. She has never seen anything like it before.

To be fair Rebekah also eats people and turns them into meal -- she's just a little less mindless about it.

Still, she smiles a little at the young girl's words.

"Thank you."

Clementine would never even begin to picture it. She's used to the people eating people being very mindless and well. rotting and gross.

Rebekah is beautiful, and she just would never even imagine it.

"Where'd you get an outfit like that?" Cause even before zombies happened, she's never seen anything like that. And well, all the clothes she's seen for the last few years tend to be dirty and bloody and stuff.

Beautiful things can be just as deadly -- vampires being one of the prime examples of that.

"This? It's what everyone wore back in the twenties." At least she's had enough of this world hopping business by now that the conversation she's having doesn't seem nearly so strange.
