[party post] come sail away with me

You've come through a door, and you are on a boat. Specifically, you're on a cruise ship in the middle of some giant body of water. You've come through the door behind you which is attached to nothing and may now be locked. It's relatively empty as giant as it appears to be. The only other passengers that are here appear to also have come through the door for the most part and it is not nearly enough to fill up this entire cruise ship.

Also, who knows who the hell is driving this thing since all of the employees appear to be either ghosts or holograms...

Is this your first time here or your hundredth time here? Do you want a drink or a dip in the pool? Is it day or night? Do you stumble on your room or some other situation either fun or painful within its many rooms, shops, and facilities? Do you run into someone you know or a complete stranger?

The possibilities are unlimited!

Lois Lane crashed through the rift, which turned into a door, and then turned into a cruise ship. If it weren't for the fact that she had Chicago to contend with earlier, she might have been a little more confused. For right now, she's just rolling with the punches. She hasn't lost her clothes (being a shapeshifter is complicated), lost her mind, or lost her lunch yet, so she's considering this a somewhat win.

Somewhat, because what she did lose is someone rather important. Aren't guardians supposed to be glued to the hips of their ward in times like this? Granted, Maxwell hasn't exactly been the most proactive guardian, but all the same, she does think this is a bit Odd.

Which is why she could upon a guy in a spandex suit, looking like he's being very frustrated with their door, she can't help but think that this is some kind of odd gift for her from the rift because if this is in fact Maxwell, she's never going to let him hear the end of it.

Ever.

"Please tell me you are not a quiet, bookish guardian with impressive taste in coffee." Coffee, in fact, happens to be the only thing they agree on. "Because if you are, we're really going to have to have a conversation about you and spandex."

Rebekah was on a train. Or she had been.

She had been making her way out of the suite she shared with Stefan and then suddenly -- she was on a boat. Like on the deck to be specific. She looks rather out of place in her 1920s flapper outfit but at least after Chicago and the Rifts she's a little old hat at this.

She looks around, trying to get a sense out of the place, or at least the time of it. She keeps bouncing around times with these Rifts and it's getting a little frustrating, to say the least. She's also keeping an eye out for a person -- a particularly muppet faced someone for that matter.

The idea that the Rift might of separated them isn't something she is willing to consider.

Peter is not used to people looking at him like that.

There are people who think Spider-man is pretty cool, and they'll cheer for him while he flies around on the webs, but they don't seem to think he is as awesome as this person does. He seriously digs it, but he is also pretty sure he is making a fool of himself so the whole... you're awesome reaction will totally burst into bits as soon as he realizes that Spider-man is more than a hero, citizen.

He is also an idiot.

"I meant, the cruise-napping thing, yeah. I'd have remembered if I met you before," Peter says as he removes the webs from his face and just kind of... tosses them to the side for the moment. "It's not my first time either, but it is my first time being napped right in the middle of a big chase... so I need to get un-napped like yesterday."

LISTEN TO HIM DOOR. He is staring at you. Hard. :|a

Jenny smiles a bit at the sound of his laugh. She tends to connect more to people who don't do things like most other people whether that's quieter or louder. The whole 'normal' or typical thing is what she has a more difficult time interacting with. "Right? They should paint it on the side," she says. Then there's a slight frown wondering if it's not painted there already. "...so if they were people who weren't really people, what are we talking about here? Demons, ghosts, something else?"

She is very used to the supernatural though the demons from her world are the literal biblical kind.

Ethan laughs when they approach another bar. "I love it when the natural environment proves my point," he says, tapping the top of the bar as they pass by it. He looks over at her with that wide, amused smile on his face, looking at her before he looks out at the rest of the view.

It is a beautiful place. There's that at least.

His hand slips over hers on the railing before he takes in a deep breath, shaking his head slightly since he's-- He is not her Ethan, and he doesn't-- Ethan is in love with her like the other Ethan is, like he thinks every Ethan that meets an Elena must be. Must fall in love with her. How could he not?

It's who she is, who they are together. "Little things mostly," Ethan says. "Shops will move or there will be new shops that weren't there before. Of course, none of the shops cost actual money at all, but there are things to do in them or get. You can also find different things about the environment that will change like-- Look..."

He points to the water, keeping an arm around her waist just so... she doesn't slip or anything. The dolphins that he'd noticed earlier (the ones that glow neon) are swimming in the water alongside the boat. He didn't know that dolphins could swim so fast, doesn't know what it means or how they are here, but it is beautiful too.

Clementine looks up at him as he explains, and her mouth drops open slightly, folding her arms over her chest-- except no there's the stupid bandage that she did to her arm so that feels weird. She unfolds her arm, turning back to the door.

"Well, that's rude," she says to the door, making a face at it even if... if she is really glad to not be where she was at the moment, but she had a LOT OF ANGER and it would have been nice to express that to the people who locked her in the shed. Then she turns back to look up at him. "I didn't think magic was real."

...but this place doesn't make any sense in any other way (she stopped believing in magic years ago, but what else does something like this?), and she can't see a Walker anywhere. It all looks like it's been untouched, like it is new. She doesn't get it. Is she dreaming?

Clementine stares as he charges through the door. She has no idea what he is wearing. It looks almost like something the police would wear, but police aren't really... a thing anymore. She is glad when the visor goes up and his face looks not... dead, because she might think he was a Walker otherwise. It'd be hard for one of them to snack on people with a visor in their way though.

Hmm.

"I'm okay!" Clementine wipes the blood from her face which kind of streaks it, but it is not her blood. It's Walker blood, and she is kind of used to it by now. Lee once had her cover herself in zombie guts and blood so they could sneak through a crowd of them, and ever since then, a little blood on the face seems much less gross and more normal. "Just don't know where I am!"

And it doesn't look like he came from where she was either even though they both went through the same door. She makes a frowny face staring at the riot gear some more.

"Are you okay?"

Jenny keeps her gun up when she sees the woman with a gun of her own. She lifts an eyebrow carefully as she looks her up and down carefully before she meets her gaze without flinching. Not that Jenny recognizes her, but she didn't expect to. She is on a mysterious ship in the middle of nowhere against her will after all so it's not like she thought she'd have a bunch of old friends here.

"So you were kidnapped too?" She still has her gun up as a precaution of her own. She doesn't know if she should believe it, but she is also not looking to get a bullet lodged in her today. Also, she figures whoever did the kidnapping would have a more creative way to kill her than shooting her on the deck of the ship she was just kidnapped on to so chances are this woman is in the same boat. Literally. "You want to lower our guns together so neither of us has to get shot today?"

She'd really prefer not getting shot, and she is hoping that Bela feels the same.

"Ow."

MJ Watson does not approve of being unceremoniously tossed through a door she never meant to step into, but that's exactly what happens. Not a second after she has been thrust into the cruise ship are webs wrapping around her like vines and making her twirl in place until she's brought to a halt almost directly in front of Peter. With the webs still wrapped around her, keeping her in place.

She only looks mildly aggravated. Confusion will come later.

"If you wanted to spend some quality time with me, tiger, all you had to do was say so."

Honestly.

... Oh my God, did Spider-man just say he would've remembered Rafe if he'd met him? Rafe would swoon if he was capable of swooning, though he is mostly telling himself to hold it the heck together before Spider-man starts thinking he's weird.

That would be embarrassing.

"Oh! Oh, yeah, that -- that does sound like it would be real inconvenient." Spider-man needs to save the day, after all, and he can't quite do that if a ship has him held hostage. "If it helps, and I don't know if it's the same for you as it is for me, but when I get sent back, I'm sent back immediately to the moment I was first pulled away. So it's like no time has happened. Chances are, you'll be sent right back to the big chase and you can go and be badass."

Because yes, Spider-man is badass. And snarky. And all-round the very best, ok. Rafe is not ashamed to have his fanboying moments.

Danny hasn't connected to anyone in years, but if he were to, he would connect to the exact same people. He doesn't know how to lead a life that most people would define as normal anymore. He doesn't remember what that is like. The past is in the past, and Danny can never go back to it. There is also relief to know that she is familiar with demons and ghosts. ... Okay, so it's not relieving in the sense that he'd want her to have to face any of those things, but it means that she is already one step ahead of most. "I'm thinking ghosts, and not the threatening kind. I've had to do deal with plenty of them that are hostile and the hauntings they leave behind, but I'm not getting the same feeling from them here."

There's nothing foreboding, exactly, other than the fact they were brought here against their own will. Which should be enough, but he still would like to know why.

Technically, he isn't 'her' Ethan, no.

They don't come from the same world and they don't have the exact same set of experiences. But this still feels like something that is hers, and he still feels like Ethan, period. And that is enough for her, though she doesn't immediately expect it to be the same for him. She looks down at their hands, smiling to herself for a bit, before she turns hers over so that she can lock her fingers with his. "I'd say that sounds really weird if I didn't come from Chicago," she tells him with the fond upturning of her lips.

Things just appearing where they weren't there before, though his mention of the environment has her expression shifting curiously, and she turns to where he is pointing toward. She laughs in disbelief at the sight of the dolphins, leaning forward just a fraction, but holding on to him as well. "They're beautiful," Elena says to him softly, just staring at them for several moments.

Then she turns sideways to look at him in the space in between their faces, a tiny smile remaining on hers. "Did ... we ever go to an aquarium in your world?" she asks. This is kind of reminding her of that day.

Ethan had appointed himself as the person that would show her Chicago as it was meant to be known, taking her frequently to places she had never been before. It was always a new experience.

Abrupt laughter is what follows after her declaration.

"It is very rude," he answers to her in complete agreement. She's older than his nephew David, but still young enough that he doesn't feel completely out of his element. Rafe blows out a breath and considers the rest of her statement. "Well, it might not be where you're from," Rafe allows after a moment of pause. "There's a lot of worlds within universes, and the one each of us lives in is only one of many. They're not all necessarily the same, but here, magic is definitely real. And sometimes it's dangerous, so it's important to be careful."

He doesn't know what's on the other side of the rest of the doors, or on the ship itself, and there is no real way of knowing unless something happens. Preparing for that is the tricky part. You can't really prepare for the unknown.

It feels the same way to him too like something that is his, and she still feels like Elena, period. He is still grappling with the fact that she is in love with him and that she's had sex with him-- a version of him, and it's-- Ethan still finds that absolutely amazing, but at the core they are still each other. They are still him so it doesn't feel strange at all. Ethan laughs a bit at what she says as she locks her fingers with his, and he tightens his hold on her hand. "I know what you mean. I got used to this place fairly quickly. Can completely blame... or I suppose thank Chicago for that," Ethan says with a bit of a smirk.

The sound of her laughter has him smiling, and he turns to look at her as she stares down at the dolphins below. He is still looking at her when he nods in agreement. "Yes..." you are. Very beautiful, and then it takes him a moment to realize he has been staring at her so he clears his throat a bit, glancing back down at the dolphins.

Ethan looks up at her again, and the smile on his face widens into something of a grin at that memory. "Yes, in fact, we did go to an aquarium. We looked at the turtles. I never did get to show you as much of Chicago as I wanted to before... Well."

He shakes his head a bit, making a gesture with both of his hands that is pretty much signifying like an explosion. No more Chicago. "But I should you the aquarium and the pier as well, the night that your brother was going to prom, and you took me out on one of those ships when I really, really needed it." Elena didn't abandon him when he was this restless mess right before the full moon, but she kept him company and didn't seem to mind how off he was all that afternoon.

They are very good memories.

Peter turns to tilting his head to the side, cocking it back a bit as he looks... as confused as anyone can in this red and blue spandex dealio. He folds his arms across his chest before he shakes his head in answer.

"Nope. ...gotta say that is one of the first time someone's taken a wild stab in the dark at my secret identity, and you were very specific," he says, and he has no idea why this quiet, bookish guardian sort would be in... this outfit, but he'll have to assume she has a good reason for thinking so. "What kind of talk about spandex would it be? Does he have a spandex... issue? Because I'll have you know there is not much else that cuts down on wind resistance. Believe me, I checked, and going as fast as possible is a pro when being chased... or also when... chasing others. I chase others too. Mostly chase others. Bah."

He waves a hand at himself.

Peter lifts his eyebrows up in surprise, because that was not... his intention to wrap up Mary Jane Watson in webbing. Er..... He tilts his head to the side looking slightly apologetic. These webs are not... really easy to-- uh. They can get a bit hard to unravel especially when the two ends are touching each other. They get kind of stuck so he is wondering how he is going to get her free at the moment.

He reaches a hand out, and the expression on Peter's face is very comical at the moment like an apologetic, smiley puppy. ...not that she can see his expression, but. Well.

Mary Jane may not be able to see the expression on his face, but one can be rest assured she is picturing it perfectly, by virtue of knowing Peter Parker as well as she does. And trust that it is extremely well. "Peter Parker," she whines, and it's her turn to be comical as she ferociously wriggles in place in a hopeless and futile attempt to force the webs to come loose. Of course they do not, which only makes her attempts that much more comical.

And she glares at that hand reaching out because she cannot reach back. Her arms are glued to her sides.

"Hi. You've turned me into a burrito," she informs him.

That said, it is very, very good to see him. She would not like being in this creepy ship on her own, though he has told her about it.

Peter has to bite on his lip which is difficult while wearing a mask to keep from laughing when she whines at him like that and when she struggles with the webbing that is wrapped around her. It is not easy at all to swallow the laughter though he is... trying really, really hard if only because he really didn't mean to wrap her up in the webbing, but she looks so adorable that he can't quite handle it. Well, if there's anything or anyone that can distract Peter Parker from his determined attempts to Get Back and Take out Bad Guys, it'd be Mary Jane Watson.

He ducks his head when she glares at his hand, and he is not quite able to swallow back the laughter this time.

It escapes him, and he is half wincing as he lifts his head back up, prepared for her glare. Then she has to go and say that, and he ends up laughing again.

"I didn't... do it on purpose," he offers with a tiny shrug and a smile, and it's funny how this is one of the few times where he is dressed as Spider-man but sounds more like Peter Parker (they're one and the same, but there's a difference too). He looks around though he knows she wouldn't have said his name if there was anyone around.

Then he lifts his hand up to slip off the mask before he leans forward, tugs her in closer, and... noms her neck basically cause she is a burrito. >>

Did he just --

Did he just laugh? Mary Jane momentarily stops her heroic attempts at being a wriggle machine once the sound has reached her. "Are you laughing at me right now?" she asks -- nay, demands -- and some of her hair may be partially covering her face, so she blows out a harsh breath to remove it. "Put me down!"

It only makes the visual that much more comical and ten times less menacing.

Her legs do about of thrashing around, but it is completely useless. She is, most effectively, stuck to Spider-man's web. Literally. And well, figuratively. No one ever said she wasn't clingy. Peter and Spider-man aren't getting rid of her.

Mary Jane makes a protesting sound, and it's followed by a soft squeal as he leans forward to nom her. Which she is not actually against, despite her wriggling. It actually feels very good. Ooh. She may even tilt her head to the side a bit to grant him more access, shh. "I hate you," she complains petulantly.

Spoiler: she does not.

Peter is laughing again, because she is literally a wriggle machine that has suddenly stopped wriggling to... demand of him a question. He can't stop laughing. "No. I'm not-- This isn't laughter that you're hearing," he says, ducking over a bit as he laughs further and then reaches up his gloved hand to wipe the hair away from her face further. "I'm not-- You look adorable, Mary Jane!"

He shrugs again, shifting on his feet a bit which is a total Peter Parker move, but Mary Jane brings out the Peter Parker in him since she knows who he is under the mask.

The thrashing of her legs is the most adorable thing too, and he is still laughing as he removes the mask so she'll be able to see the laughter on his face, in his eyes as he moves toward her. He would never, ever want to get rid of her.

Peter smiles against her neck at the sound of that protesting noise, and his hand holds on tightly to her since she is a helpless burrito at the moment. He noms her neck more, kissing her there and smiling as he does so especially at what she says. "You taste much better than a burrito," he informs her as he lifts his head up to kiss her chin.

Then bites down on his lip to try to keep from laughing more. "I... really am sorry. I was trying to get the door, but I prefer... getting you instead."

Spider-man totally would have remembered you, Rafe! You seem to really like him and that rarely happens! No, that's not quite true. He does have some fans and some very-opposite-of-fans, but he is sure he would have remembered meeting him before had it happened.

But it didn't, and he is just staring at this door like his spidey-senses could knock it open.

"Badass?" For a half second, he sounds almost like Peter, tiny, almost shy smirk in his voice, and then it's gone again.

He tilts his head to the side. "It happened to me last time too, and it would help more if I wasn't mid-swing when I ended up here... so if I don't have some kind of running leap before ending back out there, I am probably going to fall flat on my face in the middle of the street and get run over by a car. Spidey pancake." He kicks the door and folds his arms across his chest. "Ow. That was dumb. I'm still badass, right?"

Mary Jane kicks at him with her feet as though she would be able to reach his shins from her vantage point with her efforts. She would not, but let it be stated that it is a valiant effort all the same.

Bah.

Tangentially, she would be happy to know that she brings out the Peter Parker in him. Not that she doesn't think Spider-man is amazing in his own right -- and well, she did always consider him something of a crush-worthy dreamboat slash Adonis in spandex, even before she knew without a doubt he and Peter were one in the same -- but as far as Mary Jane is concerned, Spider-man is not what makes Peter Parker wonderful. Peter Parker is what makes Peter Parker wonderful.

"Mrrrh," is what she says to that in a disgruntled fashion, despite the fact the corners of her lips are twitching in betrayal to such a sentiment. She angles her chin upward at the kiss before she leans in to plant one on him square on the lips.

"Adorable burrito or not, you and I are going to have problems if you don't get me out of this."

Peter laughs again when she kicks at him with her adorable feet from her vantage point, and it is a helpless reaction as his head ducks slightly. His hair is all sticking up in odd angles from the mask.

And he looks back up at her slowly with that smile on his face.

Mary Jane definitely does bring out the Peter Parker in him, and Spider-man is just a part of who Peter Parker is, but he is also a persona. He is also someone that Peter Parker couldn't be without the mask, the snark and the bravado and all of those things. He knows Mary Jane loves him, and it means the world to him. After all, she kissed Spider-man and then turned him down, because her heart was already taken. With... Peter Parker.

Mary Jane Watson is kind of absolutely amazing, folks. In case you didn't already know.

"Mrrh," Peter says back with that lopsided smile on his face as he kisses her neck and then finds her mouth with his own, kissing her back as he laughs against her mouth.

"...what kind of problems?" He is already looking for something sharp to help cut through the webbing as he says this. It is kind of strong webbing, but he can break it if he needs to with his super strength.

It is time for Peter Parker to try the door again.

He is really tired of wearing spandex, but he can't take off the spandex, because if the door decides to be unlocked for a brief moment and he isn't in his suit? Peter could be pulled through mid chase scene and reveal his secret identity while falling on to the street and becoming a Peter-Parker pancake after a semi runs him down.

Not his idea of a good plan.

He is not expecting to run into someone that is....covered in pies? It looks like it is pies, smells like it too.

... Okay, so there will be a little bit of kissing before she goes back to being pissy. Just a little bit of kissing that she allows herself doesn't take away from the point she is trying to make, does it? In any case, she will melt once his mouth finds hers, momentarily growing lax against the dang webs.

Of course, then Peter has to go back poke the badger.

Mary Jane glares at him. "The kind of problems that'll make Vulture seem like a walk in the park, those kinds of problems. Also, the kind that require you sleeping on the couch again," she says, lifting a brow as though she is testing something. You really want to go back to that cold, hard couch, Peter Parker? It's not half as much fun as the bed that has her in it.

Hmph.

Wriggle wriggle wriggles. She only stops when she sees the knife and breathes out in relief. Only then does Mary Jane patiently (well, as much patience as someone like Mary Jane Watson can muster) grows still so that he may cut her loose.
